By agreeing to the transfer of this school the Government will become possessed of a fine building, fully furnish- -ed, on a valuable site, without incurring any expenditure, and it will also be unnecessary to proceed for the present with the extension of Saiyingpun School for which a sum of £15,000 has been provided in the Estimates of this year. I recommend, therefore, for your favourable consideration that I should be authorised to accept Mr. Ellis Kadoorie's offer on the terms proposed, the transfer to take effect from the 1st. January, 1915, provision being made in the Estimates accordingly.

I have the honour to be,

Sir,

Your most obedient,

humble servant,

Governor,dc..
